Privacy Policy

Yardclaw ("Yardclaw", "we", "us") provides AI-powered property measurement and job-pricing tools for service businesses at yardclaw.app (the "Service"). This policy describes what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: lance@yardclaw.app.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address, company name, industry, and a securely hashed password when you register.
• Business settings you provide — hourly rates, service catalog and pricing, depot address, crew details, scheduled jobs, and job completion times you log.
• Property lookups — the addresses you search and the measurements our system derives from publicly available aerial imagery and parcel data (e.g., lot size, turf area, driveway area). We measure properties; we do not collect information about the people who live at them.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we retain only transaction records (amount, date, credits purchased).
• Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and Google Analytics events, used to operate and improve the Service.

Information from connected integrations (Jobber)

If you connect your Jobber account, you authorize Yardclaw to access your Jobber data via Jobber's API using OAuth. We access only what the integration needs: your Jobber account name and your clients' names and property addresses, used solely to let you run measurements on those properties. We store the OAuth tokens Jobber issues and the minimum connection details needed to operate the integration.

• We do not sell, share, or use your Jobber data for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
• If you disconnect the integration (from Yardclaw or from Jobber's connected apps), we immediately delete the stored tokens and stop all access.
• Your use of Jobber remains governed by Jobber's own terms and privacy policy.

How we use information

• To provide the Service: measuring properties, estimating job time and cost, generating proposals, scheduling, and routing.
• To calibrate your estimates: job completion times you log are used to improve your own account's estimates only — never shared with or applied to other customers.
• To communicate with you about your account (verification codes, password resets, receipts, service updates).
• To secure, debug, and improve the Service.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your business data (rates, pricing, clients, jobs) with other Yardclaw customers or third parties, except the service providers below.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run the Service: Google Cloud Platform (hosting and storage), Google Maps Platform (geocoding, imagery, and drive-time data), Stripe (payments), and Google Analytics (usage analytics). Each receives only the data needed to perform its function.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and analytics cookies via Google Analytics. You can block cookies in your browser; the session cookie is required to use signed-in features.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing lance@yardclaw.app; we will delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on Google Cloud. Passwords are stored using industry-standard key-derivation hashing. Access to production data is restricted.

Children

The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
